Social Security Scam & FAQ’s
There is a current scam regarding Social Security going around the country right now that we would like you to be aware of. The scam comes in many different forms, but essentially the scammers state that your SSN has been suspended and to call a certain number to resolve the issue before it is too late. Other variations of this scam include them stating that you have outstanding tax liens and could go to jail if they aren’t paid, or that there are outstanding warrants for your arrest. The Social Security Administration and the IRS does not call, text, or email people asking for this type of information. They use physical mailings if they need to contact someone. Please be aware of these scams and do not release any personal information to anyone.
