Steve has a love and passion for baseball, playing in college and several years later as a member of the Connecticut Fast-Pitch softball team state champions.
He is a member of the Farmington Country Club where is an active golfer and past Treasurer.
Outside of sports, Steve has an interest both charitable and monetary in supporting children’s health organization, humane treatment of animals, including the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, and Veterans Support Organizations.
Steven Tillona brings more than 40 years of financial advising experience to CCR Wealth. Steve is passionate about helping individuals prepare for retirement, working to assist them with all aspects of financial planning including, investment selection, risk management, Social Security, Medicare, and elder care.
Previously with Edu4Retirement in Connecticut, Steve has extensive investment and business experience, having served clients in investments, tax, and business consulting. Prior to joining Edu4Retirement, Steve held several management positions in CIGNA’s investments division, he also was the lead on several companywide projects including overseeing the Y2K transition for CIGNA Health Plans and the integration of a significant healthcare company acquisition. Earlier in his career, Steve was an audit manager with KPMG Peat Marwick in Hartford, Connecticut, where he specialized in audit and consulting for manufacturing and financial service firms.
Steve received his bachelor’s degree in Management Science from the University of Connecticut and earned his M.S. in Accounting from Northeastern University. Steve is a Certified Public Accountant, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA). He holds a Series 24, his General Securities Representative (Series 7) and Investment Advisor (Series 65) registrations, and several general industry/product and state securities designations. Steve has also obtained the Certified Wealth Strategist® (CWS®) designation administered by Cannon Financial Institute and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary. In addition, Steve holds his life and health licenses.
